Three High Passes of Everest starts with an overwhelming short flight to Lukla during 30 min airborne enjoy the spectacular mountain views including Mt. Everest.

From Lukla town with its unique airstrip beginning the walk to famous Namche Bazaar with views of mountains, at Namche with good rest for acclimatization at 3,440 m high, our adventure continues towards Tengboche Monastery a scenic spot surrounded with lovely alpine forest with views of Mt. Everest and Amadablam peaks.

Our adventure leads over Kongma-la pass the first high pass of this trip to reach at Everest base camp beneath the tumbling Khumbu ice falls and glaciers overlooking towering Everest, and then hike to highest point at Kalapathar 5,545 m high with stunning views of mountains and Mt. Everest at close distance.

Next adventure leads over Cho-la pass to reach Gokyo Lake and its beautiful valley with panorama of Mt. Cho-Oyu, Everest, Lhotse and Makalu from Gokyo Ri view point.

To conclude fabulous Three High Passes of Everest with last 3rd pass of Renjo Renjo-la before returning to Lukla for super flight back to Kathmandu after a an awesome time around world highest region of Khumbu and Everest.


On arrival in Kathmandu received by our staff and representative for a short drive to respective hotels in Kathmandu city, after refreshment our guide brief you with information regarding Everest Base Camp &Gokyo Lake trekking, hotels, lodge and necessary information required while you are with us in Nepal including welcome dinner in typical Nepali restaurants.

Morning depart for interesting guided tour of Kathmandu city with world heritage sites. Kathmandu city and the valley steeped in history and culture, after an impressive time, back to hotel with afternoon free preparation for Everest Base Camp &Gokyo Lake trekking.

Early morning transfer to domestic airport for short flight to Lukla, views of mountains during 30 mins airborne, in Lukla starting the trek with moderate walk on downhill passing interesting Sherpa villages and farm lands to reach at Phakding for overnight stop near Dudh Kosi River.

After a pleasant stop at Phakding, walk to famous Namche Bazaar a main town of Khumbu Sherpa’s, leading on gradual undulating path crossing same river few times and into cool shade of pine and rhododendron forest.

After few hours walks reaching at Sagarmatha National Park entrance at Monjo village, from here towards last village of Jorsalle before Namche, continue walk on river valley and then leading to a long climb to Namche Bazaar for overnight stop.

At Namche for necessary acclimatization with rest day before heading higher elevation to Everest base camp and crossing high passes. Namche a moderate size town with shops, stores, banks and Cyber Café, suggested short walk to the Park museum with information of the area including grand views of Mt. Everest and majestic Ama-Dablam peak.

Other options hike to Everest View hotel, Khumjung and Khunde village located on glacial valley beneath holy Khumbi-la peak (patron God of Khumbu Sherpa’s)

From Namche a pleasant walk for first half till lunch enjoying views of Everest, Kwangde, Tharmasarku, Amadablam, and cross over Imjatse River to Phunge-Tenga a small place with few small shops and lodges, after lunch 2 hours of climb through beautiful forest to overnight stop at Thyangboche monastery area.

A great scenic spot with views of surrounding high peaks, here with time to visit the monastery and monks, priest on prayer.

Catching the morning view of Everest and other peaks, walk starts on downhill to a bridge over Imjatse River, from here on leaving the forested area with gradual climb to Pangboche village at 3,900 meters, the last permanent village before Dingboche and beyond.

A slow climb leads to Somara for lunch and continue walk with last climb to Dingboche village for overnight stop, Dingboche located at Imjatse valley with panorama of mountains including North Face of Amadablam and Island Peak.

Another rest day for proper acclimatization, a short hike up at Nagarjun hills for best views of Mt. Makalu and adjoining peaks.

After wonderful break in Dingboche, a tough and exciting day crossing the first pass of this adventure.

Early morning walk follows an uphill trail for an hour leadings to moraine and rocks beneath Kongma-la and its peak Kongma or Mehra, after a good rest in between cross over Kongma-la pass at 5,535 m / 18,159 ft hidden between by Nuptse, Mehara and Pokalde peaks, after a strenuous climb head towards Khumbu glacier and moraine, the path on glacier can be misleading so follow our lead guide, after descend walk leads on the path to a short steep climb up to a terminal debris of Khumbu Glacier to reach at Lobuche for overnight stop in the comfort of a cozy lodge after a hard and tough day but exciting walk.

Today walk leads to our main destination to Everest Base Camp, walk leads with gentle up for few hours then with short climb in between to Gorakshep walking on glacier and moraine, on reaching Gorakshep beneath towering Mt. Pumori and Kalapathar. Form here walk continues towards east to Everest Base Camp overlooking Khumbu glacier and the notorious Kuhmbu Ice Fall, after reaching at base camp with enjoyable walk, retrace the journey back to Goarkshep for overnight halt.

Early morning hike to top of Kalapathar at 5,545 meters, highest point of this adventure as the walk leads up for few hours offering tremendous views of surrounding snow capped mountains as far to the horizon including Mt. Everest at close distance and beneath the towering lofty peak of Pumori.

After a great time return to Gorakshep for breakfast and continue walk near Thugla, and descend to a small valley, beneath Cholatse peak for overnight stop at Dzongla located at the base of Cho-la pass separating Gokyo and Everest base camp area.

A tough and exciting day, morning cross the second pass of this adventure over Tsho-la pass ( Chola), after an breakfast follow the path leading to a steep up and then cross the glacier on the eastern side.

On reaching top of the pass at an altitude of 5,367m, sometimes it will be quite challenging to traverse (in snow conditions), from the top offers amazing views of mountains with Cholatse Glacier, from here descend carefully to Thanknak for overnight stop after a hard climb over Cho-la pass, Thanknak at 4,750m a small isolated place with few Lodges.

After a great time crossing Cho-la pass, an easy walk follows the main Gokyo trail, at the foot of the Ngozumba glacier. Slowly and gradually journey leads to Gokyo Lake, climbing a rocky path into valley passing the first lake and the second lake, reaching the third lake called Dudh Pokhari where Gokyo located at 4,790 meters.

Morning hike to Gokyo 5th Lake a 2-3 hours round trip, walk leads high on moraine rocky path heading towards at the top of Gokyo Ri with awesome panorama of Cho-Oyu world 6th highest mountain straddles the border with Nepal / Tibet includes grand views of Mt. Everest, Changtse as far to Mt. Makalu.

After a great hike return back to Gokyo with afternoon free to catch up with your dairy.

Last pass of this great adventure, an early start towards Renjo-la, following end of Gokyo Lake, with marvelous views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Cholatse and Taboche, and then over Renjo La pass at 5,465 m / 17,929 ft, one of the most difficult section of this adventure, on reaching the top with breathtaking panorama of Mt. Cho-Oyu and other high surrounding peaks.

After a nice break walk follows to a frozen ponds beneath Renjo La pass, and then descend reaching a small settlement at Lungdeng which is near to Nangpa-la pass towards Tibet.

Walk continues to reach Marlung village for overnight stop above Bhote Koshi River up streams.

An easy trek after a long hard walk of previous day and achieving our goal crossing all three great high passes of Khumbu, from Marlung our route leads visiting villages of Thyangmoche and Hungmo, and then walk through several scattered Sheppard’s huts and Yak grazing pasture as the path leads near Thame area on the least trekked area, at Thame in a nice lodge for overnight with time visit Thame monastery the oldest Gompa of Khumbu area.

Morning walking outskirt of Thame village with short uphill and gradual walk to Thamo with hydro power of Namche and other Khumbu villages, a good walk leads back into green woodland of tall pines and rhododendron tree lines as the path approach at Namche Bazaar.

From here downhill walk back to Monjo near the Sagarmatha National Park entrance and exit, walk leads downhill to Dudh Kosi River through Jorsalle to reach a pleasant nice village at Monjo for overnight stop.

Morning walk on pleasant trail most of the way to reach at Phakding, from here retrace the journey to Lukla with last climb for an hour, on reaching Lukla celebrate the last night with fellow trekkers and staff including porters.

From Lukla taking an early morning flight back to Kathmandu with spectacular views of mountains, on reaching Kathmandu domestic airport, our staff transfers you back to hotel around Thamel area with rest of the day free at leisure.

We reserve this day in Kathmandu as contingency or spare day, in case of flight delay and cancellation due to unfavorable bad weather which might occur, as the Himalayan weather pattern can be unpredictable sometimes if all goes well have a free day or one can book for short sightseeing tour around Kathmandu-Patan and Bhaktapur.
