An amazing Cross Country Marathon run on high ridges and rolling green hills of Kathmandu valley, starting from North West to end at North East beyond Kathmandu valley at Dhulikhel on the old highway that leads to Tibet / China.
This is a classic ride to observe the daily rural life of the farm villages and towns on route this biking journey following the Bhote Kosi (upper Sunkosi) River upstream.
This cross country marathon will be rejuvenating to bring the spirit back and encouraging more outdoor sports loving people to travel in Nepal Himalaya around mid hills in the shade of massive giant Himalaya.
This run leads covers picturesque area of Chisapani, Nagarkot and Dhulikhel where one can view the Himalayan panorama during the run and in comfort of nice lodge and resorts with stunning sunrise and sunset over snowcapped peaks.

Morning or afternoon drive to hill station at Kakani located North West of Kathmandu drive passes beautiful water garden of Balaju area, many towns and villages on and off the city limit of Balaju and Nagarjun hill forested area, leading towards country side reaching at Kakani of Nuwakott district.
Kakani is famous for mountain views and at present for Trout fish delights and to escape the busy city life of Kathmandu.
Kakani a serene area full of nature and fresh air at 2,073 meters high offers views of Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh and Langtang Himal range.
Afternoon visit “Thai Memorial Park” (commemorating 113 unfortunate victim of 1992 Thai Airline crash) and Shiva shrine across the road offers wider Himalayan views, with overnight in hotel / resorts preparation for the run next day.
Morning assemble at the starting point of the run by 6: 30 a.m. after having breakfast, from Kakani run ride leads today towards East of Kathmandu Valley northern rim, on the wide dirt winding road through forest of pines, oaks and rhododendrons with views of Kathmandu valley, rolling hills and of snow clad peaks towards north.
After a long run reaching a wonderful spot at Chisapani village located on a ridge top, on route Langtang and Helambu area, this is the highest spot of this trip at 2,340 meters offering views of snowcapped mountain range from Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal and to the north Langtang and Jugal Himal with fascinating sunrise and sunset views.
Overnight in a nice lodge at Chisapani and preparation for the next day run to Nagarkot.
At Chisopani catching the glorious sunrise views over array of mountains start the run by sharp 7 p.m. to reach Nagarkot a hard cross country run with short ups and downs trail reaching at Chowki Bhanjyang from here a steep climb to Nagarkot for overnight stop.
Nagarkot, located 30 km east of Kathmandu on the eastern valley rim, a favorite weekend gateway for mountain views in rural serenity, from Nagarkot stunning view of mountains extends all the way from Manaslu / Ganesh in the west past Langtang Himal to Mt. Everest in the east. The surrounding countryside of Nagarkot is great for walking at an elevation of 2,175 m and provides a grandstand panorama of the Himalaya. The Himalayan peaks look gorgeous during sunset and sunrise.
Breakfast with sunrise views over Himalayas, and then start the last run of this unique adventure of Cross country leaving Nagarkot top above Nala other Newari Village, passing interesting villages of Chettri and Brahmans people with their daily life on fields. Then getting closer towards Dhulikhel on a dirt trail climbing and descending small hill before reaching at Dhulikhel completing a distance of 52 k.m. in 3 days duration.
Morning catch the views of mountains and then drive back to Kathmandu with a journey of two hours through the town of Banepa-Nala and Bhaktapur to reach back into your hotel at Kathmandu after an adventurous cross country run on the high ridges and hill of Kathmandu valley rim from west to east.
